Fortuny of Venice

I wasn’t aware that my extreme love for fabrics could intensify even more, but at a recent Mavromac launch I realised that I was indeed mistaken.

It was there that I was introduced to Fortuny, a celebrated and historic fabric house situated in the northeast Italian city of Venice.

Having recently spent my honeymoon in Venice, these beautiful textiles brought back memories of it’s opulent culture. They seem to speak volumes of historically wealthy and decadent Venice. With it’s palazzi, gothic architecture, murano glass chandeliers, beautiful girandole mirrors and Rococo sofas…

For the full story behind the modernisation of this legendary fabric house please read here.
